Who we are

Students who love
this city.

We’re students at universities in Amsterdam. We’ve been guiding tours here for a while, and we got tired of doing it for companies that treated us like staff and guests like numbers.

So we started our own. CO-RIDE is a cooperative — every guide is a co-owner. We design the tours ourselves, keep almost everything we earn, and care a lot about making sure you have a genuinely good time.

“It’s the kind of tour we’d want to go on ourselves.”
How we do things

Three things that
set us apart.

i.

Guides who genuinely care

Our guides are co-owners of CO-RIDE, not employees. They choose their own routes, bring their own stories, and have every reason to make your tour great. You’ll feel the difference straight away.

ii.

Small groups, safer rides

We cap every tour at 8 guests per guide. Most companies run 15+, because bigger groups make more money. We think that’s the wrong trade-off — smaller is safer, calmer, and more personal.

iii.

Affordable — for everyone

20€ per person, bike included, pay on the day. Affordable because tourists shouldn’t get played, and because our guides earn fairly without needing to inflate the price. Better for you, fairer for us.

Two hours that feel like a whole day well spent.

The canals, the Jordaan, the hidden courtyards — all of it, at a pace where you can actually take it in.

FAQ

Got a question?

The ones we get asked most often.

Do I need to be able to cycle well?+
Not at all. Amsterdam is flat, we ride at a relaxed pace, and we do a quick check at the start. If you can ride a bike, you’re completely fine.
Is the bike included?+
Yes — bike, optional helmet, the tour, everything. The 20€ is genuinely all-in. Just show up.
Where do we meet?+
We meet at our partner bike shop at IJdok 47, Amsterdam — right by the IJ waterfront, easy to reach from Centraal Station in about 10 minutes on foot. Open in Google Maps →
What’s the cancellation policy?+
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Just send us a message. We never take a deposit, so there’s nothing to refund and no fees at all.
What if it rains?+
We go out in most weather — light rain in Amsterdam is basically just atmosphere. We only cancel if it’s genuinely unsafe, and we’ll always let you know as early as possible.
We’re a big group — can we still book?+
For groups bigger than 8 we assign multiple guides running side by side, so everyone gets the same experience. Just mention it in your booking notes.
Which languages are available?+
English, Dutch, Spanish, French and Italian. Pick your preference in the booking form and we’ll match you with the right guide.
